So far, he has only appeared in 2012’s Elimination Chamber match, which was for the World Heavyweight Championship. Daniel Bryan won that contest.
The Chamber is one of WWE’s toughest matches. Winning it would add another marquee moment to his career and continue his story about legacy and finishing what he started for his family.
2) Rhodes Can’t Afford Another Big Loss
WrestleMania season is all about momentum. Cody Rhodes already lost his title and got knocked out of the Royal Rumble in a controversial way. Another big loss inside the Chamber would hurt his image as the face of the company.
He is the top babyface in WWE right now. He is presented as a superstar who can headline PLEs. But if he keeps losing major matches, that momentum could fade, which will also affect the company’s business.

Drew McIntyre most probably won’t give Rhodes a chance at a rematch. But if Rhodes wins the Chamber, he earns a guaranteed title shot at WrestleMania.
