According to the latest TKO SEC earnings filing, McMahon reimbursed over $12 million to the company. This included costs related to WWE's internal investigation, which brought the lawsuit to the public eye in January 2024. McMahon, who was the prime accuser, agrred to cover certain liabilities in regards to the matter. Furthermore, these expenses have been treated as capital contributions and not operational revenue that would impact TKO's revenue generation directly, with McMahon repaying the costs. It included lease-related, legal, and other costs during WWE's acquisition by Endeavour and was officially recorded throughout the 2023 and 2024 financial years.
Vince McMahon's accuser Janel Grant made first public appearance
Ever since the Vince McMahon-Janel Grant controversial lawsuit came to light, people only seen the former WWE CEO and Chairman in outside appearances. For the first time since the allegations were made, Janel Grant recently made her first public appearance as a speaker at the Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence. She revealed major details regarding the trauma she suffered when McMahon allegedly enforced the misconduct on her.
At the same time, a part of that speech earned major backlash towards her. The picture painted was that when Grant revealed that McMahon bought her a long list of luxury items, from cars, jewellery, premium experiences, and even covering medical costs, and continued to exploit her. However, when it stopped, she stepped forward as a victim to expose the former WWE boss. This led to a huge negative response for Grant, with many believing that Vince was innocent and had been wrongly accused.
The two parties are set to meet for arbitration in June as the case continues to move forward. However, things might turn into Vince McMahon's favor following these new developments, so it remains to be seen what happens next.
